Where are services provided?
For young children, ABA services are primarily provided in the family’s home, allowing children to learn and practice communication, play, daily living, and independence skills within their natural routines.
For adults, services may take place at home or in community settings, depending on the individual's goals. Community-based services may support skills such as shopping, using community resources, building independence, and preparing for employment.
Telehealth may also be available for appropriate services, including caregiver training and consultation.
I like this because it communicates that you're not limited to an office—which fits the model you're building.
Does my child need an autism diagnosis to receive ABA services?
For insurance-funded ABA services, most health plans require a qualifying diagnosis and documentation showing that ABA treatment is medically necessary. Specific requirements vary by insurance plan.
For private-pay services, eligibility may be more flexible. We can discuss your child's needs and determine whether our services are an appropriate fit.
If you're unsure where to start, contact us for a consultation, and we'll help you understand the next steps.
What happens after I contact Chance to Grow ABA?
Getting started begins with a conversation. We’ll learn more about you or your child, your goals, and the type of support you’re looking for.
If our services appear to be a good fit, the next steps may include reviewing insurance or private-pay options, completing intake paperwork, conducting an individualized assessment, and developing a treatment plan based on the client’s strengths, needs, and goals.
Once any required authorizations are completed, we’ll work with you to establish a service schedule and begin services.
How many hours of ABA will my child need?
Every child is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all schedule for ABA therapy.
The recommended frequency and intensity of services are based on your child’s individual strengths, needs, goals, assessment results, family priorities, and daily routines. Insurance authorization may also affect the number of approved treatment hours.
Following the initial assessment, the BCBA will discuss treatment recommendations with your family and develop an individualized plan that is both clinically appropriate and meaningful for your child.
